• Implementation and fraud risk management consulting for large-scale contactless technology deployment (National Australia Bank)
• Delivery of EMV Chip Card and eCommerce fraud prevention programs, including risk assessment, technology implementation and migration of historical card portfolios (ANZ, Kiwibank)
• Revision of Visa contactless payment device security and implementation guide (Visa USA)
• Strategic consultancy, business case development and deployment of Cards fraud detection and management systems (ANZ, Kiwibank)

PROJECT MANAGER, WESTPAC, WELLINGTON, NZ - 2005-2007

Project Management and technical consultancy for a number of credit card new product delivery, eCommerce and regulatory compliance initiatives. Responsibilities included business case development, feasibility analysis, technical and business project management and third party relationship management.

GENERAL MANAGER, EFKEROS, AUCKLAND, NZ - 2003-2005

Management of companies and projects in the Efkeros group, incorporating Green Energy research and development, Health management services and a water export business. Responsibilities included staff and resource management, business development, systems infrastructure development and maintenance, strategic planning and project management.

GENERAL MANAGER, NORWICH RESEARCH, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - 2000-2003

Management of the Norwich Research international credit card consultancy practice, comprising 80 staff across offices in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Bahrain. Responsibilities included internal management, account management, business development and Cards consultancy and project management services for a variety of clients, including; American Express (Middle East and Asia Pacific), IBM (China), Arab Financial Services, Bankwest, ANZ, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Diners Club (Saudi Arabia) and National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia.

Significant projects included:

• Assessment of Diners Club systems integration requirements
• Management of bureau-based Credit Card systems conversion and new product implementation 
• New product development and delivery, including several Islamic card products 
• Day to day management of outsourced technical services (technical support, 
problem management, maintenance and projects).
• Internal company strategy and infrastructure management, including redesign of client billing mechanisms and associated time capture procedures, resource management and planning and the oversight of client communications
• Establishment and management of New Zealand Office of Norwich Research

PROGRAMME MANAGER, NATIONAL BANK, WLG, NZ - 1987-2000

14 years of Cards-based roles ranging from trainee programmer through to cards program manager. Responsibilities ranged from day to day support and maintenance, to delivery of card scheme compliance, to the project management of major card systems upgrades.

Assignments included:

• Lead consultant for M&A portfolio migration & Collections system reengineering 
• Feasibility study for Diners Club New Zealand IT integration
• Significant roles in vendor user group and strategic planning forums, including membership of the VisionPLUS International Advisory Council. 
• Technical Project Management for major Card processing systems migration
